Abstract: As organizations adopt multicloud strategies, ensuring robust disaster recovery (DR), backup, and ransomware protection for Oracle Databases is critical. This session explores strategies across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging Oracle’s Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) to achieve resilience and security. We will examine Oracle Database’s go-to solutions for DR, backup, and recovery, emphasizing their seamless integration with multicloud architectures to deliver high availability and rapid recovery. Topics include leveraging native capabilities such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance, as well as cloud-native tools for cross-region replication, automated recovery, and enhanced data protection. He is part of the Oracle Database High Availability (HA), Scalability, and Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) Product Management team within Oracle’s Core Database Product Development. In his current role, Suraj oversees product management for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Full Stack Disaster Recovery, Oracle Database Online Operations, and broader MAA initiatives. Suraj is the founding Product Manager for OCI Full Stack DR, which debuted at Oracle Cloud World in October 2022. Suraj is a frequent speaker at Oracle Cloud World, AIOUG, and various Oracle user group events.
